Tŷ Elis has been recruiting and training Counsellors and Psychotherapists since 1996. Many of our associate Counsellors have gone on to achieve senior positions in the academic, public and private sectors and continue to give their time and support to Tŷ Elis. We have a wealth of knowledge about different aspects of Counselling in different sectors and practical experience of running a Counselling and Psychotherapy practice.
The Tŷ Elis Diploma will be taught by the following experts:
Michele Ryan (Tutor)
Michele is a clinical supervisor with Tŷ Elis and other agencies. She is a systemic psychotherapist with an MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy and is a graduate in systemic counselling from the Family Institute, University of South Wales. Michele worked as a Family Therapist in PACE and CAMHS and as a supervisor at C&VHB. She currently has a private practice and is Clinical Lead for a low-

Ann Peacock (Tutor)
Ann has been a volunteer counsellor with Ty Elis for eighteen years she has her own private practice working with adults and children.
Her specialism is integrative therapy she is also a Clinical Supervisor. Ann is an Accredited member of the N.C.S and she has over twenty years of counselling experience in the voluntary, public and private sector.
Ann has a BSc Honours Degree in Counselling from the Family Institute University of South Wales.
Julie Jones (Tutor)
Julie is a Registered Member of the BACP, holding a BSc (Hons) Degree in Systemic Counselling, University of South Wales. Julie has a private practice working with individuals, couples and children and is a Clinical Supervisor for both qualified counsellors and counsellors in training. She has several years counselling experience and her specialism is in integrative therapy.
Alleyne Jenkins (Tutor)
Alleyne is a BACP registered Counsellor having originally trained as a humanistic existential Counsellor at Barry College, where she gained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, although since she has gained a more integrative approach to Counselling. Colin Cribb (Tutor)
Colin was a senior manager in Social Services for many years in the South Wales area before training in psychotherapy at a number of London colleges including the Tavistock Clinic. His final qualifying training was at the Family Institute at Pontypridd. He is currently pursuing supervisory training at the Family Institute.
Colin is Clinical Director at Ty Elis and has been in post for over 2 years.
Dr. Mohammad Obaidullah (Tutor)
Obaid trained at the Family Institute, graduating with a BSc Honours in Systemic Counselling and a Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Practice. He is currently working towards his Masters, and PhD. Counselling and Psychotherapy is his second career which he started later in life. He previously worked as a medical doctor for over 50 years and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He is currently a volunteer Counsellor at Ty Elis, where he is also a supervisor and clinical tutor. He also volunteers for Family Intervention Work at Action for Children and as a counsellor for the African Community Centre in Swansea working with asylum seekers and other very vulnerable individuals.
Hollie Thomas (Tutor)
Hollie runs a private practice working with children, young people, and adults; one to one, with couples, and with families. Hollie also works with voluntary and public sectors through commissioned pieces of work, delivering workshops and research projects, and most recently, has developed and delivered a primary school counselling service (pilot project).
Hollie’s previous experience includes working therapeutically for over a decade in the voluntary sector, within a range of services, and managing multidisciplinary teams, working within a bereavement and school and community based counselling service. Hollie is a graduate from the University of South Wales with a Msc in Playwork and Therapeutic Play, Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Practice in Psychotherapy and a Bsc (hons) in Early Years Education and Development. Hollie also has an ILM Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management. Hollie is a registered member of the National Counselling Society.
Sarah Wheatcroft (Tutor)
Sarah is a Systemic Psychotherapy Supervisor, Consultant and counselling course tutor. She is a current member of the UKCP and AFT. Sarah has worked as a UKCP registered family therapist in a variety of contexts within the voluntary, private and public sectors, as well as offering Mindfulness practice sessions to groups. Sarah graduated with a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics from King’s College London, and with an MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy from the Family Institute, University of Glamorgan. Sarah’s earlier career was in photography.
Natalie Cooper (Tutor)
